Nature Lesson

The scene: Sitting at the table eating dinner.

Hannah says quietly to me, “Daddy, I want to tell you something.”
I lean in closer, thinking she might tell me something interesting that happened at school. “What is it, Hannah?”
Hannah grins a little and replies, “Birds poop when they fly.”
At that point, I burst into uncontrollable laughter.
